Is HP DL360 G7 Supported
Added by Reuben Bryant 11 months ago
Hello, I am setting up an other storage array. I would like to use the HP DL360's as head units as they are 1U boxes. However I can't get the G6's from my supplier I can only get the G7.
I am planning to use it in a supported enterprise environment. Is this going to be a problem?
I know that currently the HP DL360 G6 is on the supported HCL but the G7 is not.
I am requiring 1U head units as I am running out of space in the rack, and I am needing it to be used in an HA setup.
Regards Reuben

If it's not on the HCL, not deal, even knowing the hardware is pretty similar. Unless you can trigger Nexenta to get that model included on the HCL. Here also we are not getting G6's anymore and from now it will probably be either G7 or G8.

The dl360 is in queue to be tested for certification. Maybe several weeks before it gets to the top of the list

I would recommend DL380 G7's as head units over the DL360 G7. Mainly for PCIe expandability... But I've run with both with no issues at all.
