idmap dump -n = no Domain Admins
Added by Alex Rhys-Hurn about 1 year ago
problem parsing wiki text: Bad markdown format near "\nnmc@filer0:/$ idmap": No "`" found before end original text: Hello, When I do: idmap dump -n i get the following output: ` nmc@filer0:/$ idmap dump -n wingroup:Network == gid:2147483652 winuser:Guest@filer0 == uid:2147483649 wingroup:Domain Users@filer0 == gid:2147483650 wingroup:Authenticated Users == gid:2147483651 nmc@filer0:/$ ` I cant see the Domain Admins group mapping. Why is that? I am using Nexentastor community 3.1.1 and it has joined a windows 2000 Domain with no problems. I have checked all aspects of DNS and AD and can find no problems. How can I query AD to get the gid so that I can use it for ACL in CIFS shares? Any guidance really appreciated. Many thanks, Alex

idmap in my experience doesn't seem to show groups/users until someone with that permission level accesses the(or a) share.
