Intel I/OAT DMA support?

Added by Ian Cooke about 1 year ago

Do the intel drivers on Nexenta/Open Solaris support I/OAT? I'm having a hard time finding an answer via google. It appears there was some work done a couple of years ago but I can't find the current status.

Thanks!

While we are waiting i would like to point out that the underlying os has crossbow.. I can assign cpus to take the interupts and i can set bandwidth controls which can give some similar capabilities..

Just curious, but what problem are you trying to solve with I/OAT?

I don't have a problem. I just got a new box and found that it supports I/OAT but is disabled by default. I wanted to test performance to see if it made any measurable difference given that Intel's marketing makes it sound great :)
