Best config for 12 1TB drives

The drives will be used to store WAV files, Blu-ray ISOs and RAW photo. These files will be accessed on a daily basis. Any advice is appreciated.

How many users? How much of the 12TB can you give up for redundancy? Assuming you have backups of them, and don't mind losing 1/2 storage, I'd go with a 6x2 mirror.

Dan,
Thank you for your response. I am using the ZFS Filer for home use and I am the only user. I have backups on tape. I am more concerned with retaining more disk space.

There are a number of possibilities. Simplest is to go with a 12-disk raidz2 or raidz3.
